'Operation Fun' to bring bags of surprises to Derry shopping centre

Shoppers at a Derry shopping centre are set for a number of surprises with the staging of a unique event next week.

The Millennium Forum in conjunction with Richmond Centre, Arts and Business NI and Spark Opera will present “Operation Fun” in the Richmond Centre on Saturday week, 27 August, from 11.30am – 3.30pm.

The event will see shoppers surprised by impromptu musical performances rarely seen on an average Saturday afternoon.

Coinciding with the city’s Foyle Pride Festival, it promises lots of surprises for all the family

Cara Mc Cartney, sponsorship and development officer at the Millennium Forum, said:: “We can’t give too much away as it will spoil the surprise, but I would encourage everyone to attend – they won’t be disappointed!”

Jennifer Taylor, marketing manager at the Richmond Centre, said: “:We think our customers will really enjoy the surprises set to happen and we really would encourage all the family to attend.

“It is an event not to be missed and the Richmond Centre are extremely proud to be a part of such fun and creativity”.
