Portadown break Institute hearts with late, late winner

Institute suffered a heartbreaking defeat against title-chasing Portadown in the Danske Bank Premiership tonight.

The Derry side were within minutes of securing a point in their fight against relegation when Michael Gault snatched all three points for the home side.

The Portdown captain drilled home from the edge of the box to keep Institute in the relegation play-off spot.

Institute made the worse possible start when they allowed Mackle to fire home from 16 yards in the second minute.

Stephen Curry (pictured above) raised Stute hopes of gaining a crucial point when he equalsed from the edge of the box two minute from the break.
