Sadness as brave little Sofia loses fight for life

A brave little Derry girl has lost her battle for life.

Sofia Parke, who was aged just two-and-a-half, passed away yesterday in Birmingham Children’s Hospital in England.

Sofia, .who had been born with a heart defect, was rushed to a Belfast hospital on her second birthday.

She was later rushed to the Birmingham hospital where she sadly passed away yesterday.

A fundraising campaign is now underway to help her heartbroken family pay for the funeral costs.

Nakita Collins, who has set up a fundraising page online said: “This page is in aid of helping the Parke's funeral costs and giving Sofia the send off she deserves.”
