The Foyle Hospice is looking for dancers to take part in its next Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser.

Each year we are glued to our television sets to watch the chosen celebrities participate in Strictly Come Dancing.

Well for all you budding Fred Asataires and Ginger Rogers out there reading this now is your chance to experience the magnificent world of Ballroom dancing.

Commenting, Ciaran McGinley, Head of Fundraising at the Foyle Hospice, said: "Our Hospice Strictly Dancing Extravaganza has become one of the most popular fundraising activities in our yearly calendar of events.

"Each year we attract around 15 couples who have never experienced Ballroom Dancing before to come along and learn a range of dances from the beautiful Waltz, the fast and furious quickstep to the energetic cha-cha, culminating in a magnificent performance in the Everglades Hotel in November.

"Under the expert guidance of dance teachers Anthony Devenney, Patricia Mallett and Genevieve Devine everyone is put through their paces to learn their favourite dance for the show.

"Dancing is a great way of keeping fit and meeting new people whilst at the same time raising money for a local charity."

Anyone interested in participating in this year’s Hospice Strictly Dancing Extravaganza should contact the Hospice Fundraising Office on Tel: (028)71359888 or e-mail [email protected].
