STAT ATTACK! Derry City's debut boy impresses in his first game at the Brandywell

20 minutes of Stephen Dooley was enough to convince the Derry City faithful that Peter Hutton has made another shrewd signing.

The new Candy Stripes winger came on against Bray Wanderers during the 5-0 win on Sunday night and, despite being introduced in just the 70th minute, he showed enough to suggest that the excitement in the stands were merited.

Dooley (pictured above with Eoin Bradley at Coleraine) didn't just bag a goal for himself on his debut with a fine left-footed strike after cutting inside, but every time the ball came out to the right, he was quick to make something happen, looking to get at players and dribble the ball forward with every possession.

It was indicitive of his passing stats that the majority were sidewards passes but of those majority, they were all inside the final third where Dooley had either pushed forward or carried the ball himself.

Two key passes, two crosses whipped in were just extras of a promising first outing in the red and white.  Check out Stephen's stats above by clicking on View Gallery.
