Steelstown into another Ulster final after brilliant victory in Monaghan

Castleblayney Faughs 1-09

Steelstown Brian Ogs 3-13

Steelstown have made it to another Ulster final with a superb victory against Castleblayney Faughs in Monaghan today.

Just two years since that devastating loss to Kinawley, Thomas Cusack's team have the chance to get their hands on a trophy they have fought so hard to win in recent years, only for it to elude them in devastating circumstances.

Brian Ogs went into today's game knowing they would have to be at their best to beat an opponent who had scored five goals in their last game, and they did just that.

Goals from Aoife Collins, Dara McKeever and Caoimhe O'Kane made all the difference for Steelstown, who just led by one point at half time, 2-3, 1-5, before they eventually pulled away in the second half, winning by a strong 10-point margin.
