A tractor run is set to be held in memory of a teenage boy from County Derry who passed away following a tragic accident last month.
Burnfoot Hub's annual tractor run will now be known as The Isaac Roxborough Memorial Tractor Run.
The event, which is due to take place on Friday, August 23, will be held in honour of 14 year-old Isaac Roxborough, who passed away in hospital on June 26, a day after he was involved in a quad bike accident in the Eglinton area.
In a Facebook post, Burnfoot Hub stated: “Two weeks ago our community was rocked by the devastating news of the passing of Isaac.
“Isaac was a great lad and a big part of our community along with his parents Mark and Katrina.
“Our Annual Tractor run will now be known as The Isaac Roxborough Memorial Tractor Run as he loved
his tractors so much!”
All proceeds from the event will be shared with Burnfoot Community Hub and NI Air Ambulance, which
came to Isaac's aid on the day of his accident.
The community group will hold their 11th July fun day tomorrow (Thursday).
Isaac, who attended Limavady High School, was due to play the Lambeg Drum at the event.
As a mark of respect, they will now hold a minute's silence in his memory.
“Tomorrow on our 11th July funday Isaac was to play the Lambeg Drum for us so as a mark of respect for
this beautiful boy we will have a minute silence at 4.30pm followed by our National Athem,” added the post.
