Trojans face newcomers Ballymac Celtic in ‘Burkey’ Cup opener next week!
Trojans and the Burke family are extremely grateful to our sponsors without whom the competition could not take place
The Thomas Burke Perpetual Cup (Burkey Cup) will get underway on Tuesday, May 6 when holders Trojans take on newcomers to the competition, Ballymac Celtic.
This is the fifth year of the tournament, played in memory of Thomas, a much loved former Trojans player and coach who tragically passed away aged just 29. Thomas is much missed by everyone at the club but above all by his family, parents Linda and Thomas and sister, Rachel, wife Bronagh and twins Adam and Aoife.
Trojans and the Burke family are extremely grateful to our sponsors without whom the competition could not take place. This year, again, our main sponsor is Impact-ni, Complete Accident Management.
Secondary sponsors include Xfit Gym, McKeevers Newsagents, Bay Road Soccer, and Raymond Gurney Automotive. Other businesses who have contributed to the running costs include Cooleys Jewellers Extreme Bounce and Elite, James McDermott Joinery, Citypaints, and Mouldings Direct.
