Two men charged in connection with dissident republican parade to face preliminary enquiry

Two men charged in connection with a dissident republican parade in Derry on April 10 last year will face a preliminary enquiry to decide if they should go for trial on February 29.
Patrick Gallagher (31) of John Field Place in Derry is charged with support for a proscribed organisation, calling for support for a proscribed organisation and aiding and abetting such calls on April 10 this year.
Stephen Murney (39) of Derrybeg Terrace in Newry is charged with similar offences on the same date.
At today's sitting of Derry Magistrate's Court a prosecutor told the court that it was hoped to have the PE on February 29.
Defence counsel Stephen Mooney said that there had been a date set for November last year but this had been missed when the
PSNI said there could be more suspects in the case.
He said he was concerned that when February 29 was reached there would be a further delay.
The court fixed a date of February 29 for PE and set a date of February 14 to review the case.
Both defendants are currently on bail in relation to the charges.
