United Against Racism Family Fun Day
‘Sport provides unique opportunities for people to come together’
United Against Racism (UAR) has announced its second annual ‘ Cricket for All ‘ event.
A UAR spokesperson said: “Following last year’s hugely successful gathering at Bready Cricket Club, this year the action moves to Ardmore.
The event will take place at Ardmore Cricket Club, The Bleach Green- Ardmore. Saturday, August 1, at 10:30am.
“This event is so important because last year we saw people from 15 different countries come together to play sport, to socialise and to build new friendships.
“Sport provides unique opportunities for people to come together.
“We hope that this year’s event will be equally well attended and we can provide a fantastic, family day out which is open to everyone.”
Organisers stressed that no previous cricketing experience is necessary.
Food and children’s entertainment will be provided.
