VIDEO: Friend pays moving tribute to Ryan McBride with song 'The Parting Glass'

A friend of the late Derry City FC captain Ryan McBride has paid a moving tribute to him with a song.

Derry singer Jessica Doherty paid tribute to Mr McBride by performing the song 'The Parting Glass'.

The video was made as part of the Cottage Sessions, held monthly in Derry's Craft Village.

Ms Doherty said it had been a 'sad week to lose a friend and colleague' Ryan McBride and also mentioned the passing of Martin McGuinness. She said that she hoped the song would bring comfort to those going through grief.
