VIDEO: Limavady United clinch the U16 Plate at the Foyle Cup

Foyle Cup U16 Plate Final

Inishowen Youth League 2

Limavady United made it two successive Plate titles at the Foyle Cup as the north Derry's U16 side backed up last year's glory.

Having gone through the entire week undefeated - beaten only on a shootout by Donegal in the semi final - Gary Faulkner's boys lifted themselves for today's Plate decider and made sure that some honours were still heading back up to Scroggy Road.

But it was a nightmare start for the black and white jerseys who watched on as Christopher McKinley opened the scoring and fired Inishowen ahead for a lead they would take into the break.

However, United rallied in the second period and, led along with goals by Conor and Kyle McGuinness as well as skipper Jack Campbell, Limavady turned the tables and were able to withstand a late Inish onslaught which saw Diarmuid O'Brien's men pull one back in injury time through Ultan McCool.
