Volunteers wanted to take part in colourful event in aid of the Foyle Hospice

A colourful charity event in aid of the Foyle Hospice will be held in Limavady later this month.

The hospice is seeking fun runners/walkers for their Colour Run on Saturday, September 24.

The 5k event will take place in the Blackburn area.

A spokesperson for the hospice said: “This year Foyle Hospice has adopted a theme of Hospice Heroes and we would welcome anyone to come along in fancy dress, if only just to make the occasion more memorable. Participants should wear white tops and sun glasses to make this a festival colour.

“In 2015 Foyle Hospice delivered services to almost five hundred newly referred patients. Taking into consideration this figure, it’s likely that over the last thirty years, every man in the city and across our entire service area has been touched by the care, compassion and support of the team at Foyle Hospice and we hope that many will consider participating in memory of a loved one.”
