Joseph Gillespie was more than happy to shake the hands of the winners at Cruit Island Golf Club's President's Prize at the weekend.
The winner of the category two prize went to Joseph's old friend from Rosses Community School, Packie Bonner, the former Republic of Ireland and Celtic goalkeeper, best remembered for his penalty save from Romania's Daniel Timofte, which helped Jack Charlton's team reach the quarter-finals of the 1990 World Cup.
Packie, who plays off 15, shot 74 points over the two days, 34 and then 40, to take the prize of a break of tie.
