Anger in Raphoe as vandals target Tidy Towns floral displays

The Raphoe community has become frustrated with vandals who have targeted the floral displays in the east Donegal town.

Gardai have been informed of the incidents in recent days.

Raphoe has a blossoming Tidy Towns group and received a bronze medal in the 2022 SuperValu Tidy Towns awards.

However, the group has become angered with those who have caused damage.

“It is with regret that we have to inform the public that we are losing plants and flowers from the town planters,” the Raphoe Tidy Towns group said.

“It takes a lot of money to buy these plants and it is not fair to our business community, townspeople or the Tidy Towns committee, staff and volunteers who work so hard to keep our town tidy all year around.”
