Archbishops to attend Day of Friendship and Prayer at Lough Derg

Close friends Archbishop Eamon Martin, the Catholic Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, and Archbishop John McDowell, the Church of Ireland Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, will be in attendance
Details have been announced for the annual Day of Friendship and Prayer at Lough Derg.
The Sanctuary of Saint Patrick on Station Island will welcome pilgrims and visitors from 10am-3pm on May 20.
Archbishop Eamon Martin, the Catholic Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, and Archbishop John McDowell, the Church of Ireland Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, will be in attendance.
The Archbishops will provide what is described as “thoughtful and provoking stories and insights into their respective ministries as Archbishops of Armagh for their own faith tradition”.
The Archbishops, who are close friends, will engage in a conversation about faith and friendship - and what it means to be sent “into the world”.
Monsignor La Flynn, Prior of Lough Derg, will welcome people from different denominations to Lough Derg.
Organisers say: “The day also recognises that many pilgrims come accompanied by, or as, a friend from a different faith background, and all are warmly welcomed to participate in a day shaped by conversation, worship, friendship and prayer in the unique setting of Lough Derg.
