Arranmore Island’s Cultural Centre granted extension planning permission

Application made by Arranmore Co-operative
Conditional planning permission has been granted for the extension of Arranmore Island’s Cultural Centre.
The planning permission will accommodate two offices or general-purpose rooms, and all associated site development works at the site at Fallagowan, Arranmore Island. Furthermore, there are plans for a small toilet room and a kitchen/storage room.
An extended floor area of 53.5 square metres is planned to be added to the existing building, enlarging the size of the building by over 50%.
Noreen Muldowney, of Arranmore Co-operative, was the listed applicant for the submitted application.
As well as the existing cultural centre, the immediate site includes a number of holiday cottages. In 2021, permission was granted for the site to have six campervan pitches and electricity connection points to be built on the site.
