The volunteer-staffed shops were honoured at a ceremony in Galway
Three Donegal charity shops have won awards in the Saint Vincent de Paul (SVP) North West Region (Donegal, Leitrim,Sligo).
The awards were presented at a recent Vincent’s National Retail Conference held in Galway.

Sarah Brady, Vincent’s Ballyshannon Volunteer of the Year in the SVP North West region (centre) receives her award from Dermot McGilloway, SVP National Retail Development Manager and Paula Taggart Svp North West Region Retail Manager

These awards are testament to the work of volunteers whose generosity and commitment are improving the lives of people in our communities. These charity shops not only raise funds to support the work of St Vincent de Paul, they also offer affordable options for clothes, books and household items to people who are feeling the pinch.
And with so much focus on the climate crisis and the damage done by fast fashion, charity shops offer a sustainable alternative for environmentally conscious shoppers.
