Bus Éireann services in Donegal will not run between 9pm on Sunday, January 21 and 1am on Monday, January 22.

This is a result of the severe winds forecast, with Donegal among the counties expected to be worst affected,

People travelling to and from Donegal from elsewhere in the country are advised of cancellations in Mayo and Galway from 4pm on Sunday.

Bus Éireann has issued a statement saying: “Due to the red weather alert, town, city and intercity services will be suspended in Mayo and Galway from 4pm today,  January 21 for the remainder of the day and resume from first service on Monday, January 22

“Services in Donegal will be suspended during the period of the red weather alert between 9pm and 1am.

“As it is forecast that Storm Isha will subside during the night, schools are expected to open as normal tomorrow morning and School Bus services will be in operation.

“We recommend that you check locally for any impact due to storm damage.”

Full service cancellation will be posted on the Bus Éireann website as the infomration becomes available.
