Caretaker Joe Brennan honoured on his retirement at St Patrick’s Church Drumkeen

“As they say 'If you enjoy what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life,'” Joe Brennnan said following his retirement. “I loved every day of my work with Drumkeen Parish for over 30 years."
Drumkeen man Joe Brennan was honoured at Saturday Mass on his retirement from caretaking duties for St Patrick’s Church and Grounds, Drumkeen.
Joe worked for over 30 years in the Parish and school and is a well known community member. He recently retired to focus on his farm with his wife Eileen and he was also recently appointed as a Peace Commissioner.

“As they say 'If you enjoy what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life,'” Joe said. “I loved every day of my work with Drumkeen Parish for over 30 years. I’ve recently become a grandfather and I’m enjoying semi-retirement to spend more time with my family. I thank Fr Kelly and Sacristan Bridie Boyle for organising the presentation and to my wife and family for everything you do for me.”
