“As they say 'If you enjoy what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life,'” Joe Brennnan said following his retirement. “I loved every day of my work with Drumkeen Parish for over 30 years."

Drumkeen man Joe Brennan was honoured at Saturday Mass on his retirement from caretaking duties for St Patrick’s Church and Grounds, Drumkeen.

Joe worked for over 30 years in the Parish and school and is a well known community member. He recently retired to focus on his farm with his wife Eileen and he was also recently appointed as a Peace Commissioner.

“Thank you Joe for your dedicated years of service and your excellent care of the school, church, parish hall, parochial house, graveyard and all the parish grounds in Drumkeen,” Parish Priest, Fr Eamonn Kelly said, having presented a commemorative plaque to Joe at Mass.placeholder image
