Catriona Harkin glad to be back at Finn Park after fall

Catriona Harkin spent a few days in hospital last month after falling on the terrace prior to a Finn Harps game, but the Ardara woman was back on the terraces on Friday night again
Catriona Harkin was back at Finn Park on Friday night - a month after suffering a medical scare at the Ballybofey venue.
The Harps supporter took weak and fell on the Town End terrace in the build-up to the 2-2 draw with Cobh Ramblers on March 24.
The game was delayed as medics rushed to the attention of the Ardara woman, who spent a few days in Letterkenny University Hospital to have a nasty head injury was treated.
With three of Harps’ subsequent games away from home, Catriona sat out the 2-0 win over Treaty United, but was back on the terrace for Friday’s 1-1 draw with Longford Town.
“I’m still recovering, but I’m pretty much back again,” Catriona told Donegal Live.
“All’s good again, thankfully. The medics on the night were very good. I was at the top of the terrace and fell forwards so I was lucky enough at the same time.”
The memory of the incident are a blur, but Catriona is thankful for the support of Harps manager Dave Rogers, his backroom staff, players and club volunteers, who have rallied around.
“The club has been sending messages and ringing away to check up on me, which was great of them to do,” she said. “The staff in Letterkenny hospital and the ambulance crew were brilliant on the night too.”
A big Donegal sports fan, Catriona is hopeful that Harps can stay in the hunt for the play-offs this season and was glad to be back in the blue and white again.
“It wasn’t the result we were hoping for, but hopefully we can get a win on Monday against Athlone,” she said. “I think Dave will do a good job at Finn Harps, he’s going well with the lads so far.
“I also want to wish Caoimhin Porter well on his recovery. He got a bad injury just right in front of us on Friday night - hopefully it’s not too bad.”
