Charity Golf Classic in Donegal to support mental health and repatriation funds

Golfers from across Donegal are being invited to take part in a special charity event later this month that will raise funds for two important local causes.

The Golf Classic Champagne Scramble will take place at Ballybofey & Stranorlar Golf Club on Friday, June 26, with all proceeds going to the Donegal Mental Health Services Comfort Fund and The Kevin Bell Repatriation Fund.

Organisers are encouraging teams to sign up for what promises to be an enjoyable day of golf, community spirit and fundraising. Entry is €160 per team, with participants also receiving a €5 meal voucher as part of their registration. A range of prizes will be up for grabs during the scramble, while a charity auction will be held following the prize-giving ceremony, providing an additional opportunity to support the two beneficiaries.

The Donegal Mental Health Services Comfort Fund helps provide additional comforts and supports for patients accessing mental health services in the county, while the Kevin Bell Repatriation Fund assists bereaved families in bringing loved ones home following sudden deaths abroad.

The event is expected to attract strong support from golfers, businesses and local organisations keen to contribute to two causes that have touched many families throughout Donegal and beyond.
