The designer from Bunbeg has been selected to show her range at Ireland’s Fashion Week later this year.

A young Donegal fashion designer continues her meteoric rise, being one of a select few to be chosen to showcase her range at Ireland’s Fashion Week later this year.

Sarah Gallagher, from Bunbeg, the woman behind the hugely successful ‘Sarah Lorraine’ label, has today expressed her pride and delight at having her brand chosen for such an important industry event.

‘Made In Donegal’ is a bespoke range from ‘Sarah Lorraine’,

Its range includes handmade, stunning capes made from 100% Merino Wool from the well-known Molloy & Sons and lined with satin, sold across Europe, the USA and Canada.

She says, “I was over the moon to receive the news. Ireland Fashion Week is such an incredible platform for me.

“I will be part of the ‘Irish Heritage Show’ which highlights sustainability, and this is really what my brand is all about -beautiful Irish tweeds and natural fabrics that speak to our rich and vibrant heritage”.

“This year is shaping up to be another great year. My store is flying, and customers love the fact that Sarah Lorraine is so versatile, utilitarian and keenly priced for what it is.

I am exporting worldwide, and my range is now stocked in stores from Donegal to Kerry and in between, which is a massive endorsement for the label. I am proud and honoured too that President Catherine Connolly has chosen to wear my designs on several occasions.

I am so grateful to the people of Donegal who have given me unstinting support from day one and who gave me the confidence to push the brand.

Ar scáth a chéile a mhaireann na daoine, mile buiochas go léir!”
