Donegal filmmaker Ciarán McCann releases debut sci-fi novel

Best known as the co-founder of Re-Act Productions, McCann has made a name for himself in the Irish film industry alongside longtime collaborator Shaun Doogan
Donegal-based filmmaker and author Ciarán McCann has officially launched his debut sci-fi fantasy, Ravage: A Psycho Hunter Novel.

“I've always been passionate about storytelling, whether through film or writing,” said McCann. “Ravage is a high-intensity sci-fi fantasy with plenty of action, suspense, and an immersive world. I can’t wait for readers to experience it.”
Ravage propels you into a fast-paced, action-packed ride, immersing you in a rich world of lore and vibrant characters, as you follow the deranged rampage of Ravage, a psychotic bounty hunter, on his relentless quest through the lands of the Kingdom to assassinate the Omni-King.
McCann’s journey into publishing reflects his drive to explore new creative frontiers while continuing to produce innovative film projects through Re-Act Productions. His work remains deeply connected to his roots in Donegal, and he hopes to inspire other local creatives to pursue their artistic ambitions.
To celebrate the launch, a special book event will be held at Bridge Inn, Dungloe, on Friday, March 21. Readers are invited to attend, meet the author, and get their copies signed.
Ravage: A Psycho Hunter Novel is available now for purchase on paperback and Kindle. For more information on McCann’s work, visit his social media pages on Instagram.
