A book of evidence has been served on a Donegal man charged with 20 sex assault charges over a five-year period.
The man, who cannot be named, appeared at Letterkenny District Court and was referred to only by his initials.
Garda Sergeant Jim Collins told the court that the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has consented for the accused to stand trial at the next sitting of Letterkenny Circuit Court.
A previous sitting of the court was told that the accused could go forward on a signed plea.
However, solicitor for the accused, Mr Frank Dorrian, said that would not be proceeding so his client was "good to go."
The accused is charged with a total of twenty Section 2 sexual assaults dated between December, 2011 and December, 2016.
The accused was sent forward to the next sitting of the Letterkenny Circuit Court and Judge Emile Daly gave the accused man the alibi warning.
Judge Daly then adjourned the case to the next sitting of the circuit court.
