Donegal Town hosts European representatives for Green Hydra Conference

Representatives from Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and other European countries travelled for the conference
Donegal Town hosted the third International Study Visit and Green Hydra conference, with visits from Government and City organisational representatives from several European countries.
Project partners from Italy, Bulgaria, Poland, Spain, Cyprus, Norway, Croatia, Latvia, the Netherlands, and Slovenia travelled to Donegal for the conference.
The Central Hotel in Donegal Town wrote online that they were “proud” to host part of the European Seminar for the Interreg Europe Green Hydra Project, with sessions also taking place at the Donegal Killybegs Campus of Atlantic Technological University.
Seminar topics included Hydrogen Safety, Community Acceptance of Green Hydrogen, and Emerging Green Hydrogen Projects Across Ireland and the European Union.
Donegal County Council said the visit aimed to “continue to explore the potential of developing green hydrogen projects in Donegal and the wider region as part of the Interreg Europe Project.
“Participating in these learning visits with international partners allows for learning of best practice and development of relationships to better advance projects in Donegal.”
