Abbey Vocational School (AVS), Donegal Town Principal, Geraldine Diver has expressed her delight after the school received confirmation that their next phase of building development can now proceed to tender stage.

This new phase will include a 260sqm General Purpose Room (Dining Hall) and Principal Diver hopes that the work can be completed within a year of turning the sod on this next phase.

The Dining Hall will connect the existing Sports Hall to the main school building which will provide a much better environment for our students.

This phase also includes a new support classroom for students with Moderate General Learning Difficulties.

This classroom, combined with their recently opened support suite for students with Autism continues to enhance the support that the school is providing to all members of our school community.
