Planning Authority gives permission to demolish The Manor House premises

Donegal County Council has granted permission for the demolition of a former licensed premises and accommodation in Rossnowlagh.

The Manor House, once a popular dining and entertainment venue, is to be demolished under the new conditionally granted planning permission, after an application submitted by Paul McGurk.

A report from the Planning Authority stated that the building had not appeared to have been in use for a number of years and had suffered what appeared to be fire damage to the northern corner of the building. Currently, the building is part of an existing caravan park.

Donegal County Council granted permission for the application with five conditions, inserted with the reasons to ensure orderly development, to preserve the amenities of the area, to ensure the integrity and preservation of Natura 2000 sites, and in the interests of public health.
