Gardaí in Downings put the block on an 'unlicensed event' - literally

Downings beach is blocked off for cars, and gardaí have warned that they are patrolling the area and they are aware that events were due to take place
Gardaí have put a block on an "unlicensed event" that was due to take place in Downings.
They have warned that any such events on the weekend of the Donegal International Rally will be stopped from happening.
"Gardaí are patrolling the area and they are aware that unlicenced events were due to take place at Downings beach over the weekend," they posted. "These events will not be taking place. Vehicles will not have access to the beach for the remainder of the weekend."
Gardaí also seized a car in the Downings area today as it had no tax or NCT.
