A Glenties woman has donated the proceeds of her 40th birthday to local charities.
Michelle Boylan raised €10,100 through her 40th birthday fundraiser and split the funds between Glenties Cardiac First Responders and Ability Rocks. Both charities have taken to social media to express their gratitude for the donation of €5,050 received.

“We at Glenties Cardiac First Responders would like to express a huge thank you to Michelle Boylan for including us in her birthday fundraiser,” the group shared. “To mark 'Restart a Heart' Day, we are delighted and very grateful to announce that the sum of €5050 has been donated to us from this fundraiser. These vital funds will help with the continuity of our group, the upkeep of our training equipment and the replacement of valuable defibrillator pads post-expiration.”
Ability Rocks, a local inclusive sports initiative, added: “Michelle, we are so grateful to you for turning your special birthday celebration into something so meaningful for our amazing children. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference to all the children at Ability Rocks.”
