In pictures: Funds raised and family fun at Liverpool v Man United in Letterkenny

A day of fun, football, music and prizes took place at Leckview Park to raise funds for the McCrossan family from St Johnston

Graham Cullen put Liverpool ahead with a 20-yard goal that hit the bar and went in. Gareth Harkin equalised before HT. Marcus Oliver put United 2-1 in front with a nice finish after some good work from Henry Welles.

Good link-up play between Rovers teammates Luke Parke and Henry Welles resulted in a thunderbolt from Luke Parke to put United 3-1 ahead. Jordan Nugent sealed the win, cutting inside from the left and finishing neatly into the corner.

The event was organised to raise funds for the McCrossan family from St Johnston. Earlier this year, Patrice (née Rodgers) was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia; she is undergoing chemotherapy and also travels regularly to Dublin for DLI therapy. Only months later, her son Zach began to show signs of fatigue and was subsequently diagnosed with high-risk Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a rare blood disorder that progresses to Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.
