Inishowen charity paddle and rowing event called off due to weather

Organisers of a community charity paddling and rowing event due to take place this weekend have called it off due to expected weather conditions on Sunday.

The fun paddle/row was due to take place from Bunagee pier in Culdaff to Portaleen pier in Glengad on Sunday, June 7 in aid of The Friends of Inishowen Hospice.

Heavy rain forecast for Sunday afternoon has forced the event to be postponed.

Organisers say the event - which was to involve live music, a barbecue, entertainment, and a prize raffle - will be organised for another date in the near future as soon as possible.
