The man was arrested at the weekend for an alleged breach of the order and was brought before Letterkenny District Court
A District Court Judge has warned a Donegal man charged with breaching a domestic violence order at the weekend of the seriousness of such orders.
The man was arrested on Sunday and brought before Monday's sitting of Letterkenny District Court.
Details of the man's arrest, charge and caution were given by way of schedule by Garda Sergeant Jim Collins.
Sergeant Collins sought certain conditions for bail.
Judge Éiteáin Cunningham granted bail on the accused's own bond of €200 nil cash.
The man is to have no contact whatsoever, either directly or indirectly, to include social media, with the alleged victim in the case.
He is to be contactable by telephone 24/7 and remain of sober habits.
Judge Cunningham said that a domestic violence order is in place and 'must be complied with'.
The man was remanded on bail until July 24 with statements in the matter to be forwarded to the man's solicitor, Mr Ciaran Haran.
