A juvenile boy has been hospitalised following a serious road traffic collision in Ramelton.
Gardai and the emergency services responded to the collision.
The Tank Road, from Main Street to the Cup and Saucer junction, has since been closed.
The young boy was struck by a car earlier this evening on Chapel Road. He has since been taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment.
The road remains closed and local diversions have been put in place.
Motorists are asked to use an alternative route.
