Evidence of the defendant’s arrest, charge, and caution was tendered by Garda Sergeant Conor Mulkerns in court.
Sgt Mulkerns outlined a number of strict bail conditions that have been imposed on Mr McCrea following the alleged incident, including a nighttime curfew between the hours of 10pm and 8am.
He has been ordered to stay away from 44 Windmill View in Letterkenny and to have no contact with the injured parties in this case.
Mr McCrea must remain of sober habits and sign on at Letterkenny Garda Station every Wednesday between 9am and 9pm. He must also provide a phone number, to be contactable 24/7 by gardai.
Sgt Mulkerns further clarified to the judge, that the accused is to reside at 11 Windmill View, Letterkenny, and stay away from number 44 in the same housing development.
Defence solicitor Rory O’Brien applied for disclosure and said directions will be required from the DPP.
Judge Emile Daly adjourned the case to April at Letterkenny District Court, and Mr McCrea was released on continuing bail. He signed a bail bond before leaving the courtroom, while Mr O’Brien was granted Legal Aid in the case.
