Major Letterkenny road works to last 20 weeks

One-way system to be introduced on Convent Road, Sentry Hill Road and Cathedral Road
Major road works expected to last 20 weeks are to get underway in Letterkenny at the end of the month.
Work on the Letterkenny Cathedral one way project on Convent Road, Sentry Hill Road and Cathedral Road is due to begin on Monday, March 28.
Donegal County Council says the works will involve footpath widening and improvement, resurfacing of the carriage-way and new street lighting.
The project aims to introduce traffic calming and implement a clockwise one-way system on Cathedral Road, Convent Road and Sentry Hill Road. The project will also provide pedestrian and cycle crossing facilities.
The council says the expected duration of the work is 20 weeks and traffic management will be in place for the duration.
