The offences are alleged to have taken place at the Diamond, Donegal Town on September 2, 2023.

Judge Sandra Murphy remanded the defendant on continuing bail to appear before Donegal District Court on December 4 for service of the book of evidence.

Mullan is further charged with possession of cocaine valued at €50 at Ballyshannon Garda Station on September 3, 2023. He was also remanded to Donegal District Court on December 4 on that matter.

Solicitor Kieran O’Gorman said his client was a legal aid candidate who was before the court on serious matters.

Judge Murphy said there was no issue in granting legal aid subject to the solicitor submitting a statement of means.
