An information and consultation evening on the Community Sports Facilities Fund (CSFF) for Inishowen sports clubs will be held in the Lake of Shadows Hotel in Buncrana on Monday, March 30, at 6pm.
The event, which will be hosted by the Minister of State for Sport and Postal Policy, Charlie McConalogue, is aimed at assisting Inishowen clubs and groups who will be applying for funding through the CSFF.
Speaking ahead of the information evening, Minister McConalogue explained: “I’m looking forward to engaging with clubs from Inishowen where participation in sport is continuing to increase, thanks to the excellent work being done by so many hard-working volunteers.”
“I am encouraging clubs, community groups and sporting organisations to have representatives in attendance. The event will focus on giving advice and answering questions to assist local clubs as they prepare to apply for funding through the Community Sports Facilities Fund.”
“The session is a good opportunity to inform clubs about how the CSFF operates. Applications for the next round of the CSFF are set to open in late Spring. It is anticipated that this round will particularly target areas and sports that have been under-invested in over the years,” the Minister of State added.
Minister McConalogue said the government’s objective is to prepare clubs for applications which will open in late May or early June.
