Mountain bike stolen from shed in central Letterkenny

An Garda Síochána in Letterkenny are on the lookout for a bicycle that was stolen in the centre of the town.
An investigation is ongoing into a burglary that occurred in the area of Fr Mc Loone Terrace, Oldtown, Letterkenny between 9pm on Saturday, September 5, and 7.30pm on Thursday, September 10.
A shed to the rear of a house in that area was entered between those times and a white ‘Orbea’ mountain bike with black writing was stolen from within.
A spokesperson for Garda Síochána said: “We appeal to anyone who may have observed any type of suspicious activity in that area between those dates to get in touch with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
“Should anyone come across a similar bike for sale on a second-hand basis, we ask them to alert Gardaí so the matter can be checked out.”
