The Mum is keen to find Alannah so that she can thank her for helping her 15-year-old daughter during this frightening experience

The collision between a Bus Eireann coach and a car in County Fermanagh fortunately did not lead to anyone being hospitalised.

Nonetheless, it was a frightening and traumatic experience for those involved, including the passengers on the bus which was travelling from Donegal Town to Dublin at the time.

The mother of one passenger is keen to find a woman who assisted her 15-year-old daughter and other passengers so that she can personally thank her. This kind and helpful young woman is called Alannah. She lives in Dublin and her mother lives in Donegal Town, and is thought to be in her twenties. The mum reports that Alannah was really helpful and calming to the other passengers on the bus.

If Alannah is reading this, or if anyone can help by getting in touch with her, please email [email protected] and the information will be passed on to the mum in question, who is personally known to this reporter.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) received an emergency call around 7pm on Friday, November 28 saying there had been a collision between a coach and a car. NIAS dispatched two rapid response paramedics, two emergency crews and an ambulance officer to the scene on the Derrylin Road near Enniskillen.

“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, no patients were taken to hospital,” a spokesperson said.

Bus Eireann issued a statement confirming that an Expressway Route 30 bus was involved in what it described as ‘a serious road traffic collision.’

The statement continued: “Emergency services and Bus Eireann personnel attended the scene.

“The safety of our passengers, staff and the public is of paramount importance to Bus Eireann.

“We will provide any assistance required to the relevant authorities.”

The road was closed for a time, but has since reopened.
