New extension planned for Áras Uí Dhomhnaill nursing home

A planning application seeks permission for the construction of a two-storey extension to the existing nursing home to provide an additional 24 en-suite bedrooms
A large extension is planned for the Áras Uí Dhomhnaill Nursing Home in Milford.
Owner Philip O’Donnell has submitted a planning application to Donegal County Council.
The application seeks permission for the construction of a two-storey extension to the existing nursing home to provide an additional 24 en-suite bedrooms.
A two-storey staff accommodation block, containing eight two-bed apartments, is also planned.
Additional parking and circulation routes are also a part of the application.
The Áras Uí Dhomhnaill Nursing Home was opened in December, 2005 and currently has 44 single en-suite and two double en-suite bedrooms.
The facility provides long and short-term respite care, palliative care, and hospital step-down care to a growing number of residents.
