A number of roads in the Donegal Town area are among those to have been flooded

Parts of Donegal have been hit by localised flooding.

Torrential rain on Thursday afternoon has been described as monsoon-like, with water pumping back out of rainwater gullies such was the intensity of the downpours.

Donegal Town has been particularly affected, with roads in Drumrooske and Ardeskin among those to have experienced flooding.

While Donegal was relatively unaffected by Storm Agnes, increased winds led to leaves and other debris on the roads, blocking some drains and ditches.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution.
