Bright or sunny spells and scattered showers today, Friday. Clouding over from the west later, with a spell of more persistent rain spreading eastwards this evening
Donegal is not expected to get a fully clear day for the next week at least, according to Met Éireann's seven-day forecast.
Bright or sunny spells and scattered showers today, Friday. Clouding over from the west later, with a spell of more persistent rain spreading eastwards this evening.
Highs of 13 to 16 degrees in mostly light to moderate west to southwest or variable winds, but winds will increase fresh to strong and occasionally gusty later today near the west coast.
Cloud and outbreaks of rain and drizzle will continue to push eastwards over Donegal early tonight followed by further showers, some heavy. Lowest temperatures 6 to 9 degrees. Light to moderate westerly or variable winds, fresh to strong near the west coast.
Tomorrow, Saturday, will bring a mix of cloud and sunny spells along with scattered showers, some heavy. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees. Mostly light to moderate variable winds becoming mainly light to moderate northwest in the evening.
Next week has a signal for low pressure over Ireland with unsettled conditions, showers or longer spells of rain expected at times during the week. Temperatures are expected to be average or slightly below average with indications for above average precipitation in the east and southeast and lower than average precipitation in the west and northwest. Some spot flooding is possible due to the rain and showers.
