Some sailings on Lough Swilly ferry service cancelled due to ‘extremely low tides’

Four sailings have been cancelled on Wednesday, which follows cancellations on Monday and Tuesday
A number of sailings on the Lough Swilly ferry service have been cancelled due to low tides.
Four sailings have been cancelled on Wednesday due to the spring tide; the 1.20pm and the 2.40pm sailings from Rathmullan and the 2pm and 3.20pm sailings from Buncrana.
This follows the cancellation of two sailings on Monday, one each from Buncrana and Rathmullan, and another two on Tuesday.
“Due to extremely low tides this week, a number of sailings are cancelled today,” a social media post by the service said.“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
