Some sunny spells but thundery showers on the horizon
Met Éireann forecasts sunny spells, wind near coast and thunder showers as the afternoon progresses
If you are planning on getting out and about today pack rain gear as while there may be sunny spells Met Éireann is forecasting thundery showers.
Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees in moderate to fresh northerly winds. The winds will be strongest near coasts.
Scattered showers will become isolated early tonight. Later during the night, scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle will arrive into western areas.
Lowest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees, coolest under clearer breaks further east, all in just light west to northwest breezes.
