Teenager charged after drugs and £15,000 cash seized in Donegal raid
The seizure was made during a Garda search of a residential property in Inishowen last Friday.
A teenager has been charged after suspected drugs worth an estimated €6,000 and more than £15,000 in cash were seized during a Garda search in Inishowen.
Gardaí carried out a search of a residential property in Burnfoot on Friday, October 23.
During the operation, officers discovered and seized a quantity of suspected cannabis resin, with an estimated street value of €6,000.
A significant sum of cash, understood to be in excess of £15,000 sterling, was also recovered from the property.
A male in his late teens was arrested at the scene under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 and taken to a Garda station.
The teenager was subsequently charged and has since been released on bail and is due to appear before Buncrana District Court next month.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed that investigations into the seizure remain “ongoing.”
