Tesla granted planning permission for charging hub at Letterkenny hotel

Planning permission has been granted for Tesla for EV Charging Hub at The Mount Errigal Hotel
Tesla Motors Ireland Ltd has been granted planning permission by Donegal County Council to install an electric vehicle charging hub at a Letterkenny hotel.
The proposed Tesla Electric Charging Hub is permitted for The Mount Errigal Hotel, and involves the installation of high-power electric vehicle charging points and associated infrastructure consisting of eight electric vehicle charging bays with Tesla illuminated charging units and related signage.
Included in the permitted application was the installation of the proposed Tesla supercharger power cabinet equipment, a proposed modular substation, the erection of associated electric vehicle signage, and all associated site development works.
The Mount Errigal Hotel had granted landowner’s consent for Tesla Motors Ireland to apply for planning permission and to develop the electric charging hub on its land.
Donegal County Council granted permission for the proposals with three conditions, including a condition that “car parking shall be appropriately marked with thermoplastic road marking materials designating parking bays, distinguishing disabled parking bays, circulation lanes and areas to be kept clear of parking,” in the interests of traffic safety.
