Entries sought for Carndonagh Business & Community Awards 2023
Gala awards dedicated to highlighting the best in the local community
The Carndonagh Traders Association is delighted to launch the first Carndonagh Business & Community Awards.
The awards are a way of celebrating the many businesses, charities and community groups who operate within our town, and how they make Carndonagh such a special place to live, work, shop and socialise.
The local community and our diaspora have been voting online in huge numbers to show recognition to the businesses and service providers for their time and effort given to making shopping, dining and socialising an attractive and enjoyable experience in the town.
Our sports clubs and community groups are all run and contributed to by volunteers who give up their own time throughout the year.
The 2023 award categories are:
l Retailer of the Year
l Eatery of the Year
l Pub of the Year
l Service Provider of the Year
l Employee of the Year
l Charity/Community Group of the Year
l Volunteer of the Year
l Sports Club of the Year.
Voting closes at midnight on Sunday, April 23 and can be made by scanning the QR code on the ‘Vote for Us!’ posters displayed in many of the businesses throughout the town or by following the link on the Visit Carndonagh social media pages.
We invite everyone to nominate who they feel deserves recognition under each of the categories.
The winners will be announced on Saturday, May 6 in the Ballyliffin Lodge & Spa at the first Carndonagh Business & Community Awards Gala. Highland Radio’s Jimmy Stafford will be compering the evening and entertainment will be provided by the Ryan Turner Band.
Tickets for the Gala are available to buy from the Visit Carndonagh Tourist Office on the Diamond.
