Inishowen fisherman captures submarine off Co. Antrim coast

An Inishowen fisherman has captured a photograph of a submarine taken off the coast of Rathlin island.

Greencastle fisherman Shaun McClenaghan posted an image of the vessel on Sunday.

“Submarine just spotted North of Rathlin Island heading south,” he tweeted.

The submarine appears to be a British Astute class nuclear-powered submarine.
